Music can bring us together. Hope can move us to action.

This is an evening of music, hope, faith and community action! Join ACCE for Harmony for Hope, a FREE community event bringing people together through music and cancer awareness while raising support for patients facing financial barriers to cancer care.

Come for the music. Leave with hope. Join the movement for equitable cancer care.

The Alliance for CancerCare Equity (ACCE), warmly invites you to Harmony for Hope, a special community gathering where music, faith, cancer awareness, and compassion come together to support people facing cancer.

This is more than a musical event. It is an opportunity for our community to learn, connect, remember, celebrate hope, and take action so that financial circumstances do not determine who gets a chance to fight cancer.

About ACCE

The Alliance for CancerCare Equity (ACCE) is a Canadian registered charitable organization dedicated to promoting equity in cancer care, particularly for underserved populations, including Black Canadians, immigrants, and other racialized and underserved communities.

ACCE works to bridge gaps in cancer prevention, screening, education, treatment, and survivorship through community education, advocacy, outreach, and direct financial assistance.

We believe that where a person lives, what they earn, or their background should not determine whether they can access the care they need when facing cancer.

Through our work in Canada and Ghana, ACCE helps patients and families facing financial barriers to essential cancer care.

Why Harmony for Hope?

Cancer affects all of us. About 42% (1 in 2.4) of Canadians are expected to be diagnosed with cancer.

Cancer affects families, friends, churches, workplaces, and entire communities. Yet not everyone experiences cancer care in the same way. Financial hardship, limited access to information, transportation challenges, and other barriers can make an already difficult journey even harder.

Harmony for Hope brings our community together to shine a light on these challenges and to remind patients and families that they are not alone.

Through music, stories, education, and community action, we hope to inspire each person who attends to ask:

What can I do to help?

Sometimes the answer is a donation.
Sometimes it is volunteering.
Sometimes it is sharing information.
Sometimes it is simply using your voice to raise awareness.

Every contribution matters.

What We Want You to Take Away

  • Cancer-care inequity is real: Too many patients face barriers that can affect their ability to access essential cancer care.
  • Screening and early detection matter: Knowing your risk, understanding recommended screening, and seeking medical attention when appropriate can be important parts of cancer prevention and early detection.
  • Every gift matters: Your contribution can help ACCE provide support to patients facing financial barriers to cancer care, including patients in Ghana who may otherwise struggle to access essential treatment.
  • Your time and your voice matter too: You do not have to make a large financial contribution to make a difference. Only $5 a month can go all the way to support patients. Your time, skills, connections, encouragement, and willingness to spread awareness can all help build a stronger community.

Your Evening Can Become a Year of Action

Harmony for Hope is not meant to end when the music stops.

We want this event to be the beginning of a continuing relationship between you, ACCE, and the wider community.

At the event, you will have opportunities to:

  • LEARN: Understand some of the challenges faced by underserved patients and families affected by cancer.
  • CONNECT: Meet advocates, volunteers, community leaders, faith communities, and organizations working to improve cancer care.
  • TAKE ACTION: Choose a meaningful way to contribute, through your time, talents, resources, voice, or connections.
  • STAY CONNECTED: Continue participating in cancer-awareness, education, advocacy, and community initiatives throughout the year.
